Road Trip Day One

We started our road trip today. Its amazing to me how much technology has changed travel. My mom called today and asked what route we were taking. We had just gotten on the road, but I hadn't yet programed the GPS. My response: I don't know yet. We made it to our destination just fine.

So far, the biggest change to our road trip compared with previous ones has been the Verizon wireless broadband that we signed up for. We got the wonderful little mobile broadband device on ebay and signed up for one month of the service. I don't know how we'll ever give it up. :) So far we've already experienced the increased efficiency in our stops--quick places to stop, restaurant reviews (yummy, cheap food on a road trip!), places to run the pup--and a total lack of boredom.

My favorite aspect of the trip so far: the puppy, of course. She's decided that the center console makes a good headrest and tries to creep as far into the front seats as 'Chung will let her.

We passed through the Sierras, through some beautiful scenery and into Nevada, where we're staying for the night.

If only road trips could have always been so tech savy!

Looks like so much fun! Brembo looks totally comfortable! I love it!!! And you have to just love the wireless laptop connect cards. We got one for a road trip once and we still have it! They are awesome!!! Hope you continue your smooth sailing! Looks like you are heading on the 80 towards Utah! Would have been great to have you guys stop in and say HI to us in Salt Lake! Anyways, can't wait to hear about the trip along the way! :)

We were, but we took a left turn @ Wells, NV and headed up to Yellowstone. I'd love to come through there someday though!
